The price of oil fell slightly Friday, as the stock market drifted lower and efforts continued in Washington to strike a budget deal before the year-end deadline.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Benchmark crude fell 7 cents to finish at $90.80 per barrel.
Gasoline fell 2.14 cents to end at $2.7999 a gallon.
Heating oil fell 2.75 cents to finish at $3.0448 a gallon.
Natural gas rose 5.7 cents to end at $3.4690 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE Futures exchange in London:
Brent crude fell 18 cents to finish the day at $109.83 per barrel.
