THE PLANE: Boeing Co.'s 787 has been delivered to several airlines so far, but this week United Continental Holdings Inc. became the first U.S. carrier to get one.
THE PLAN: United's 787 passenger flights start in November. International flights start in January between Los Angeles and Tokyo-Narita.
THE PRICE: $206.8 million is the list price for the 787-8 that United got this week. Discounts are common for big customers like United, which has 50 of those planes on order.
