(MYFOX NATIONAL) - A pair of drunk revelers got more than they bargained for when they picked a fight with a pair of men dressed in drag. The men turned out to be professional cage fighters. And all the action was caught on a closed-circuit TV camera.

According to the South Wales Evening Post , Dean Jonathan Gardner, 19, and Jason Andrew Fender, 22, were arrested following two separate incidents that took place on a main thoroughfare in Swansea, Wales in the early hours of Aug. 30. Both were in court this week where they pled guilty to using abusive words and behavior.

"Unfortunately they were extremely drunk, and you know it cannot have been a good night when you get into a fight with Spider-Man and two cross-dressing men," said Mark Davies, who is defending the pair. He said that one of the men had drunk at least 10 pints of cider.

The melee began when Gardner and Fender became involved in a large brawl that included a man dressed as Spider-Man, reported The Guardian .

After that brawl simmered down, Gardner began to follow and talk to two men who were dressed in wigs, miniskirts and tube tops. After some stumbling and pushing, video shows Gardner being punched and kicked by the men in drag. Gardner and Fender continue down the street and are later met and corralled by police.

The men in drag were contacted by The South Wales Evening Post after the story made national headlines in the United Kingdom. James Lilley, one of the cage fighters, said, "It's just a shame that people like that spoil things for everyone."

"A few of the boys were going out for a night and just thought we would do something different which was why we're in drag," said Lilley , who also explained that the night was a chance to enjoy themselves before preparing for an upcoming fight.

CCTV captured the melee, which was posted to YouTube:
