(MYFOX NATIONAL) - A new national study among 1,850 Americans found a majority feel that Michael Jackson's death is receiving too much media coverage in comparison to Farrah Fawcett's.
Asked about Jackson's death, 63 percent of respondents felt that there was too much media coverage, while 36 percent said there has been appropriate coverage and 2 percent said there has not been enough.
The respondents were also asked about media coverage devoted to actress Farrah Fawcett. Only 5 percent felt that there was too much coverage, while 56 percent thought the coverage was appropriate and 39 percent said there was not enough media coverage.
The study was conducted by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com Web site on July 1, to obtain Americans’ perceptions of recent celebrity deaths, with regard to the amount of media coverage they are receiving. To view detailed results go to: www.mediacurves.com .
